Naked Nassau Classic Tumbler by Sirius Glassworks

$70.00
Description

Nassau without iridization on a crispy clear base.

The tumblers vary widely with decoration that can range the full spectrum of earth tones, jewel tones, primary colour blocks, sparkly bits, dots, lines and squiggles. Made by rolling random handfuls of colourful bits onto molten glass, fused and formed into a cup. Each cup is entirely unique.

About Sirius:

Sirius Glassworks is one of the longest running art glass studios in Canada, established in 1976 in Port Colborne. Sirius was Peter Gudrunas' creative vision for several decades, making coveted vessels with proprietary colour melted from scratch. From 2013 onwards Peter has worked in collaboration with his daughter, Iris Fraser-Gudrunas, who introduced contemporary iterations inspired by the Sirius archives. Since Peter's retirement in 2021, the studio continues as a legacy business under Iris’s direction.
In our technologically sophisticated time, glass retains even more of its historic mystery- every piece is made by hand and will never be duplicated.

Handblown glass is not dishwasher safe and can fracture in extreme temperatures. Do not use with boiling liquids or transfer between icy and hot conditions. However, ice cubes on a summer day are totally acceptable and encouraged.
