I have hung onto this jacket for years, like at least six. Why? Look at her.
Handmade 1940's navy velvet cropped military-style jacket. Wide, notched lapel. Hand stitched edges along neckline and opening in white. Shoulder pads for a power silhouette, double breasted with pearly white buttons. Embroidered triangles at eitherside of slit waist pockets.Slim waistband with cream button closure. Angled bust darts. The body of the jacket is lined in black fabric, while the sleeves are lined in a striped fabric. The lining has been repaired and there are still flaws, including several small holes. The underarms are seriously stained, as is the inner cuff lining. It is flawed and in "as is" condition.
This piece is very old and delicate, and should be worn and handled with care. We have taken measures to clean and repair it to the best of our abilities.
