Is there a more poetic combination of words than "blue" "rose." No, there is not!
Vintage white cotton quilt. This quilt is a combination of machine sewing and hand stitching. Scalloped edges, with hand stitched border following shape. Rimmed in faded blue and yellow striped fabric. Rectangular “frame” of centre, also bordered in said faded striped fabric. The centre has a grid of rise blooms in embroidered blue, burgundy, pale pink and yellow. Light and dark blue stems and leaves. The centre has a hand stitched grid with swirly curliques around the border. White cotton, hand stitched backing.
Flaws: some small holes on top. A couple faint coffee like marks near one corner. Bleach/ whitened area by diagonal seam of centre “frame.” Two small marks inside border. Small hole on back side. Please see photos for condition. As is.
