Every single person who passes this quilt goes "ooooooh" "ahhhhhhhhhh" "wooooooooooow" "this is niiiiiiice." And I do too :)
1970's quilted coverlet. This is lightweight, summer quilt- it has no has no batting or backing. It is a combination of machine sewing and hand stitching. White cotton base, with yellow, green, and pink border and grid- matching the centres of flowers. Patchwork flower petals in different patterns/fabrics, with black hand stitched outlines and border. The backing is white with visible black stitching, and some stitching from repairs.
Flaws: in two squares there are some significant clusters of brown markings. Some of those marks are also on back of the quilt. Smaller and less noticeable brown marks throughout. Some flower petals have come off, and the previous owner has made efforts to reaffix them. The hand sewing is not masterful, however they have been re-affixed. One black border around a flower has come off. Otherwise in quite good condition. Pricing has taken the age, craftsmanship and condition into consideration. As is.
