Just so special. Just so very special, there aren't words.
70's quilted floral coverlet. From what I can tell, this quilt is entirely hand stitched- a gigantic feat. It is lightweight- a coverlet- as opposed to have batting and an under layer.
Marigold orange and yellow flowers with brightly printed floral centres, surrounded by leaves and blooming buds. Rounded, undulating floral printed border around edge, as well as deep yellow border. Cream cotton base. Backing is underside of cream top with visible hand stitching. This is a large quilt!
Flaws: Brown marking inside border close to edge length-wise. Some faint coffee-like stains inside border. Small black/brown marks throughout the piece. Many of the greens are faded- lots of color variation there. There is a larger, significant yellow stain, and several brown marks. As is! Pricing has taken the age, craftsmanship and condition of quilt into consideration.
